I mainly wanted the outfit and on the day I ordered I asked in my personal instagram if any of my local friends would like to adopt Aika but no one volunteered for sure&#8230; and then as I was waiting for the doll, I kind of became tempted to keep her if I like her in person after all. (\u00b4\uff65\u0414\uff65lll)\u309e The biggest issue was her mouth and the blonde hair &#038; green eyes combo &#8211; because I have so many blonde neemos already at home. And most of them also have green eyes&#8230; and I&#8217;m all for variety and more of a brunette &#038; blue eyes kinda girl (probably &#8217;cause I&#8217;m a brunette myself lol) so I had my doubts. <\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I decided to see how she looks in person first, before making any decisions. After all, I kind of regretted that I&#8217;d already agreed to split Swan Lake Raili because I rather liked her in person, ahah&#8230; (( \u00b4\u2200`;))<\/p>\n<p>But anyway, let&#8217;s peek into the box, shall we? (\u2267\u2207\u2266)\/<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival007.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">And the story&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Snow White<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A long, long time ago<br \/>\nin a big castle, lived a beautiful princess<\/p>\n<p>The princess&#8217; hair was white as snow, and because of that she was called Snow White<\/p>\n<p>One day, the princess found a beautiful mirror during her walk around the castle<\/p>\n<p>She took a peek into the mirror, and saw a smiling reflection of herself<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival008.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>&#8220;I am Snow Black. I live here in the forest within the mirror. It&#8217;s a little boring by myself, so could we play together?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Invited by Snow Black, Snow White entered the forest within the mirror<\/p>\n<p>The forest within the mirror was a beautiful place<br \/>\nThe two of them played together happily around the forest<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am starting to feel hungry&#8221;<br \/>\nSnow Black saw Snow White pat her tummy, and offered her a big, red apple while smiling<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival009.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Snow White took a big bite of the apple<br \/>\nThe apple was like honey; very sweet and delicious<\/p>\n<p>The two of them talked a lot while eating apples<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival010.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">A<em>fter continuing to play, Snow White started feeling very sleepy<br \/>\nWhile Snow White let out a small yawn, Snow Black&#8217;s expression turned a bit lonely<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today was a lot of fun. (\u4eba\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)\u2661 Well, except not the shoes that much, the foam sole doesn&#8217;t make them very stable&#8230; and they were a pain to put on due to the ankle straps and the tiiiiny buckle, ahah. I really love Snow White Aika&#8217;s hair colour! \u00b4\u0348 \u1d55 `\u0348 \u2661\u00b0\u25cc\u030a<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival014.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Also, a comparison with just white hair. The pale blonde is soooo lovely! (*\u00b4 \u02d8 `*).\uff61oO ( \u2661 )<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival015.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Unfortunately, the outfit had some quality issues, like loose threads and also random threads that had gotten tangled into the stiching&#8230; \uff08\uffe3\u25a1\uffe3\uff1b\uff09<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival016.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">And the gathering on top layer of the dress isn&#8217;t very well done on the right side&#8230; I&#8217;ll need to fix it myself, because asymmetry really bothers me &#8211; and I don&#8217;t like how the fraying edges of the ruffles are exposed anyway, it doesn&#8217;t look that nice. (\u30fc\u30fc;)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 533px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival017.jpg\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Then, a photo of Aika in her fullset glory! \u2665\uff5e(\u2018\u25bd^\u4eba)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 533px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival018.jpg\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I do like her hair which is enough to make me keep her, but&#8230; I&#8217;m not a fan of the \u307d\u3088 mouth, to be honest.\uff08\uffe3\u30fc\uffe3\uff1b\uff09The night before I saw dreams about customising neemos, so I decided to see if I&#8217;d love her even more if I changed her mouth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival019.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Time to dig out the painting gear! (\u0e51&gt;\u1d17&lt;)\u0648 I use MSC for coating and pastels for painting. I never got the hang of acrylics, so I use pastel dust with water for painting lines.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival020.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"458\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I use acetone-free nailpolish remover and a cotton swab to remove the decals. As you can see, it&#8217;s pretty efficient for that. I always wash the area after using nailpolish remover to make sure there&#8217;s no residue. After that, I cover the rest of the face and hair with a paper towel to avoid getting MSC where I don&#8217;t want it. Then I add a light coat of MSC, paint the mouth that I want with pastels and finish the job with a coat of MSC.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dimensiondolls.com\/colourless\/azone\/arrival\/komaki_arrival021.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" border=\"1\" class=\"size-full\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Probably because my first Aika was a kitty, I always see Aikas as these cat-like girls, ahah~ (^. \u22cf .^)\uff89 That&#8217;s why I wanted to paint a kitty mouth for Snow White Aika as well. She&#8217;s soooo cute now! (\uff9f\u2200\uff9f\u3000) I used this red hair pastel to create the pink ombre, the pastel doesn&#8217;t stick to human hair at all but it works really nicely for dolls&#8217; fiber hair. (\u4eba*\u00b4\u2200\uff40)+\uff9f:\uff61*\uff9f+<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I decided to name her Komaki, the kanji for her name is \u5c0f\u771f\u59eb. The first kanji is &#8220;small, little&#8221;, second &#8220;pure, genuine, true&#8221; and the third is &#8220;princess&#8221;. I mainly chose it because eventually I want to get the Snow Black Aika as well as Komaki&#8217;s sister, and I want to name her Miyabi, \u7f8e\u591c\u59eb. So, I wanted for the sisters to have matching kanjis in their names.
