"Really Seb, there's
nothing I can tell you that you don't already know."
And he was right.
|
"If it's just reassurance you're looking for, I'm the wrong person to talk
to."
He so was. But who else could she talk to? All she had... well, used to
have, was Null. And since now he was the one Sebille was worried about, she
couldn't exactly go to him.
|
"See, 'cause I'm just
looking out for you, and as long as he isn't hurting you and there's
(semi-)calm in the house, I'm fine with anything you go with..."
|
Sebille bent forward,
rather curious. It was like Fenrir had changed. Not that much but still
changed somehow, and Sebille wondered what had caused it.
"Uh, what?"
"I'm just looking... Since when did you become so smart?"
|
"Haven't I always been?"
"No."
|
Sebille sighed. She felt
like she was being childish, coming to Loupe whenever her problems overtook
her. And it wasn't even like he didn't have his own to worry about. He
always did but never came to her with them.
|
"Hey now, chin up. This is
still fixable, if you want it to be."
|
"But... what if I don't
know if I want it to be?"
"Seb..."
" ..."
Okay, now this feeling was bad.
|
" ..."
" ..."
Very bad.
|
|
...
|
.....
|
.......!
|
"What the hell was that!?"
"That so didn't happen."
"Well, you're damn right it didn't!"
"Yeap. Forgot all about it already."
There was some nervous chuckling on both parts.
|
How the hell did that
thing, that didn't happen, happen?
|
That had never happened
before. And as far as they both were concerned; it still hadn't happened.
|
An awkward silence.
That was so not going to happen ever (again).
|
"That was disgusting, you
need to stop smoking."
|
"Hey! What about that
lipstick of yours!?"
|
"What's wrong with my
lipstick, you old goof?"
"Who're you calling old, kid?"
...
Luckily they were stronger than some silly mistakes and couldn't be broken
that easily.
If only it was the same with Null.
