Null had followed her from
the bus stop. When she'd stopped, he'd done the same. When she'd increased
her pace, he'd done the same again. Always keeping at a certain distance.
Normally she'd have rather enjoyed the little game they'd had but this time
something was a bit off.
|
She'd had him catch up to
her... and he was strangely stiff.
|
"Why are you so moody?"
Really, he was in a bad mood and it was really obvious. He'd had bad days
before but this time it really showed. To her anyway.
|
"I'm not."
|
"Yes you are. You just
answered me and you never do that... what's wrong?"
True, he never answered her straight away without a moment's pause. Had she
done something to irritate him (other than talk back just now)...?
|
He grabbed her arm -a
little too roughly for her tastes.
"Come with me."
|
"Ahh!"
Sebille almost lost her balance as she was forced to walk alongside
him, their pace increasing seemingly.
|
"You don't need to drag
me!"
Now, really... what was it this time? He wasn't acting like himself. He was
cold and rough. Though, that was probably how he had been before, but it
wasn't the Null she knew.
She was a little worried and slightly... only slightly scared.
|
Maybe someone was
following him? But if they were, why would he be here following and toying
with her. And why would he make such a scene out in public?
"Null, I'll come with you if you tell me what's the matter. And I'll shut up
if you say I need to, but..."
|
" ..."
He looked serious (and dangerous), though he wasn't looking at her.
|
"If you don't give me an
answer I won't move another muscle!"
And since he didn't:
|
She jerked her hand from
his grip. He hadn't held her with much strenght, obviously not expecting her
to pull away just like that. Or then he just didn't care enough.
|
"You will not drag
me around just because you can!"
|
He looked slightly
dumbfoulded but still irritated.
"I don't care if you're stronger, you have no right to do whatever you want
to those weaker than you."
|
"If you want me to come
with you, all you have to do is ask."
And if you feel bad about something, all you have to do is tell me.
She wished she could've said the last part out loud, too, but... she was much too
angry to.
|
And she walked away, not
caring if he'd follow or not.
