I finally got my July Amiami order home today~ （*´▽｀*）♥ The package arrived into the country already on Monday, and I had to wait until Tuesday before they bothered to update the tracking saying my package is in customs so that I could finally pay the ransom… and even though I paid early Tuesday morning, it took until today for the package to be available for pick up at my local post office… grrrh! Every time it’s a package that I’m really, really anticipating, they’re super slow! (´∩｀。)
But now it’s here and I’ll finally get to open it, yaaay! o(≧∇≦o)
Lol, clearly someone at Amiami’s storage just slapped the mail slip on without bothering to check if it’s straight or not. (ᗒᗊᗕ)Yay, a new card!! ー( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ The “Will I ever get a non-bent card” saga continues… (･∀･；)After digging through A LOT of paper, I finally see the actual items! I was confused for a while ’cause that bag of neemo clothes & futons kinda looked like a BJD wig at a quick glance, haha~The One Piece figure is Yenna’s and the rest are mine: two little alpaca plushies and Little Briar Rose Lien + a bunch of neemo stuff from Azone~FINALLY I was able to snatch a beige kitty hood muffler when they restocked them, yaaay!! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و I’m selling the other ivory one because I don’t need two ivory ones. AND ALSO – kyuudou set~! (╯✧∇✧)╯♥Because alpacas!!! Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ The white one I bought from Desucon Frostbite earlier this year. He was lonely so I thought that he needs friends, and these two little fellas were so cute that I had to bring them home… someday I’d like one biiiig alpaca, as well! ♥Now onto the main highlight: Little Briar Rose Lien!! ヾ(≧∪≦*)ノ〃♥ ♥ ♥ I’ve been waiting for her so excitedly after seeing all the gooorgeous owner photos on twitter and flickr~ (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ I didn’t have the patience to photograph her box, she seemed to be in an uncomfortable position anyway so I wanted to set her free, haha!Yay, new dolly manual with Sahra on the cover! ヾ(｡･ω･)ｼ I still got the older version that has Miu’s photo with my BlackxPink Yuzuha. I really love Lien’s leaflet, I wish the box would’ve been dark coloured like this… makes me think of those old books in the library, so fancy~ (´ ▽｀).。ｏ♡I photographed the leaflet because I thought that I could provide a translation of the story. Some kanji practise for a change, haha~ （ ´∀｀）

I’m sorry for any possible mistakes in the translation, I had a hard time figuring out this font, ahah… (･∀･；)
I took a test shot of her in between~ I really, really love her outfit, it’s so beautiful and full of details! (｡’▽’｡)♡ And that traaaain! I have such a weakness for dresses with trains~ (´∀｀)♡Then I undressed her because I wanted to take a closer look at each piece. I love everything about this set, it’s just gorgeous! ♥ Silver Butterfly really outdid themselves when designing this dress~ (๑>ᴗ<๑) ♥ ♥ ♥I tried the skirt and corset on a M-size body (Lien comes with S-size). It’s a veeeery tight fit and the velcro doesn’t really want to close… needless to say, there’s no hope of getting this on the LL-bust. (-∀-`; )Attaching the train was a bit of a challenge because the other halves of the snaps were too far apart as the velcro doesn’t close all the way… but eventually I managed to squeeze the corset a tiny bit more so that the snaps attached, ahah… but yeah, it’s a much better fit on the S-type body, I don’t recommend putting it on the bigger girls. (( ´∀`;))I tried some casual pieces with her skirt and socks… she makes a cute kitty, eheh~ ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ Even in a more casual look, she’s still frilly. I don’t have that many neemos with a frilly style, so this is all fine and dandy~ (≧∀≦)I decided to put the default dress back on, because it’s sooooo pretty! σ(≧ε≦ｏ) ♥ ♥ ♥ I really love the light green eyes, even though usually I’m not a big fan of green eyes with lighter coloured hair. She has such a warm smile~ （*´▽｀*）♥Sooo prettyyyy~! ヾ(o≧∀≦o)ﾉﾞ ♥ ♥ ♥She’s definitely my favourite Lien now! Everything about her is perfect~ ヾ(｡^ω^｡)ノ ♥ I didn’t really feel the need to bring home a Lien (although I admit I really like Majokko Lien 1.1 ver.) until this release of her came along. I just knew that I HAD to have her! ╰( ･ ᗜ ･ )╯
I decided to name her Ayana, because as I looked at her, I thought that she should have a name that starts with an A. And Ayana is (or at least used to be) part of I’ve Sound, and I adore the I’ve girls so I decided to choose the name Ayana as a small tribute. The kanji for her name is 彩渚, the first one can be read as “colouring, paint, make up” and the latter is for “beach, shore, water’s edge”. Soo the name’s meaning could be something like “coloured shore”. It makes me think of a sunset at the beach and how the colourful sky reflects on the water and the waves sparkle as they hit the shore… and she’s such a beautiful doll that I think it’s a lovely name for her. (´∀`)
I’m soo happy to have this girl home, I’m completely in love with her!! o(´∀｀*) She’s just as beautiful as I thought that she’d be~ ♥

I’m not usually a Lien fan but this one is really nice. I adore her outfit and her eyes are such a lovely colour and style.

I haven’t made an order with amiami yet but I keep hearing great reviews about them so I might have to try them out at some point. The lots of packing paper thing seems to be common over there. Hobbysearch does the same thing. Lots of paper and big boxes that are sometimes too big for what you’ve ordered.

Ex Cute Family dolls have more variation in body types, Minami-sensei, Mio and Mia are on M-bodies and the younger siblings Nina, Chisa, Aoto, Yuuta, Tsukiha & Sorane are on XS-bodies.
Haha, I actually didn’t realise the Sleeping Beauty connection at first either, because in Finnish Sleeping Beauty is “Prinsessa Ruusunen” which is something like “Princess Rosy” and in Japanese she’s いばら姫, Ibara hime, “Princess Rose”. And somehow I didn’t remember that Briar Rose is another name for Sleeping Beauty until suddenly one day I was like… Briar Rose… Sleeping Beauty… a-ha! I’m so slow sometimes… xD
Amiami is pretty great, especially if you have lots of items coming in within a month and at different times… they keep the stuff on hold ’til the end of the month and if some of the items get delayed, you can then combine them onto next month’s batch. I only order individual dolls from Hobby Search because they ship items right away when they get them. It really sucked that once they sent out the clothes separately from a doll I’d ordered, because the clothes were released before the doll… I would’ve liked to save on shipping. =A=;; So now I just order all neemo clothes on Amiami ’cause they can ship them in a big batch.
Well, HLJ also has the storage system, so I like them too… but Amiami usually lists the items first so I tend to go with them most of the time. xD And they also have the clothes available for a longer time, while in HLJ they don’t seem to restock sold out items much…
I suppose it’s partly because they only have a certain sized boxes, and usually what people order the most from these shops are figures and merchandise that come in huge boxes (or the items themselves are big, like plushies, dakimakuras etc) and need a lot of space… so they probably don’t go out of their way to get boxes for smaller items since it’s more common for people to order a lot of things at once, I guess. And I suppose the Japanese postal service has some restrictions for box sizes, too. At least with SAL there’s a minimum box size, so the neemo clothes that I order from HS always come in a huge box instead of a bubblewrap envelope or something smaller.
Amiami mail is the best kind of mail, so much cute stuff. ^^ Lien is so beautiful! I wish I could get her outfit for my girls, so many parts and details.
