Little Princess and Maid
I’d planned on getting the three backlogged box openings out of the way before this newest one, but… things don’t always go to plan I guess. (;´Д`) I’ve had lots of stuff to do lately, there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day to do everything. I haven’t completely given up yet, though, one day I’ll have this blog up to date, one day… !!! (๑•̀ㅁ•́ฅ)
But well, let’s post about these two girls before this one gets stuck in the drafts folder for weeks, too, ahah… ((´∀`;)) My newest Pureneemo family additions arrived today: Otogi no Kuni series Nina & Chisa~ ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ At first I was only interested in Nina because to be honest I’ve never cared much for Chisa personally… buuuut somehow this one kept tugging on my heart strings. (●´□`)♡ I guess I just had to find “the one” for me? Ringo-san is a horrible enabler and kept posting so manu cute shots of these girls on twitter that eventually I gave in and ordered them both. \(-ㅂ-)/ ♥ ♥ ♥ It’s dangerous to shop before 5am, you put more stuff in your cart than you should lol… I was a little afraid that I might end up regretting getting them both, but… luckily that didn’t happen.
Let’s move onto the photos… it was SUPER gloomy today and I had to use ISO800, even, so the photos are pretty horrible in quality. Σ(゜ロ゜;) I’m very sorry about that.
A long time ago,
Finally, one cold winter morning, a graceful girl with violet coloured eyes who was dressed in a burgundy dress arrived into the dormitory that the little girls lived in.
“What a lovely girl!”
muttered a maid named Chisa, who worked in the dorm, to herself and as the girl turned around, she smiled at Chisa.
One day, the girl noticed that she had forgotten her interesting book in the classroom. She hurried back into the classroom, where the cute maid who always walked around the dorm picked up the book in her hand
“I came to get the book that I forgot. My name is Nina. What is your name?”
“I’m Chisa. This is such a beautiful book.” Chisa gave the book back to her.
Nina smiled shyly as she said “To be honest, I’ve always wanted to become friends with you.”
“So have I!” said Chisa as she smiled back at her.
Since then the two of them became best friends and lived happily ever after.
Some time after that, one day while Chisa was cleaning, she noticed that there was a book on the table
“Beautiful book! I wonder if someone forgot it?”
Chisa picked up the book and looked around at her surroundings.
Suddenly a girl arrived.
“I came to get the book that I forgot. My name is Nina. What is your name?”
“I’m Chisa. This is such a beautiful book.” Chisa gave the book back to her.
Nina smiled shyly as she said
“To be honest, I’ve always wanted to become friends with you.”
“So have I!” said Chisa as she smiled back at her.
Since then the two of them became best friends and lived happily ever after.
Both of these girls are really cute, but I was rather disappointed because of the hair troubles and the sloppyness with some of their accessories. (´;︵;`) In addition to the earmuff hairbands the shoes are a bit sloppily made as well… these two cost 1000 yen more than the other Otogi no Kuni releases so far and that’s one reason why I’m a little miffed that there were problems with them. ლ(｡-﹏-｡ ლ) Little Red Hood Koron had kinda messy hair, too, but otherwise everything about her was perfect so I didn’t feel as disappointed with her as I was with these two. But well, after fixing them up a bit, I do feel that they’re super cute and both are definitely staying! (´,,•ω•,,)♡
The names that I chose for these two are Momoka (Nina) and Chinatsu (Chisa). Although, as usual, I’ll mostly speak of them as Momo and Natsu because I like using nicknames for my dolls, lol. The kanji that I chose for Momoka is 李華, which literally means “plum flower”. Chinatsu’s kanji is 小夏, “little summer”. You can read about their personalities on the profile page: here. ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
I’ll add the translations to the story tomorrow, right now I’m too tired to decipher some of the more unfamiliar kanji, so… yeah. Please bear with me for a bit longer! Translation complete! Took a few artistic liberties with it, but the main idea is there, so… ((´∀`;))

Congrats on the new arrivals! Nina sold out pretty fast I noticed. I do most of my orders at Hobbysearch because they have the best competitive prices for the things I buy, plus I’ve always found them to have excellent customer service. Although things tend to sell out fast on there, at least with Ex-Cute Pureneemo dolls. The Chiika was already sold out when I got to her and I added myself to the mailing list. Looks like they opened her up for another round of pre-orders (the email came through at 3am in the morning for me – was asleep at the time). I checked my email at 7am and went over to the site but she was already sold out again! One of the more frustrating things about these dolls.
I really love the box designs for these two girls. Their clothing also is a lot nicer than I thought from the promo photos. It’s a real shame about the hair though on both of them. I have noticed the newer dolls seem to have this uneven hair problem. I’ve had to trim pretty much every single Pureneemo doll I’ve bought. Their fringe seems to be one of the worst parts of it too.
I always get Chisa and Chiika confused! They’re very similar.

I adore these 2, they are also on my wishlist! Shame about the flaws though, and the hair is one of the biggest things stopping me from buying any neemos :O I find vinyl dolls, especially those with rooted hair, often come with hard-to-fix hair xO
Anyway, they are really adorable and I also love that book bag accessory x3 x3

I had the same problem with Nina’s hair! Same side too!! I gave up n the end and slightly cut the hair so it matched, truthfully I wish I hadn’t now but I didn’t know what else to do and I never plan to sell my doll. I kind of wish I waited and got Chiika, I’m still holding out for her though, just waiting to see if a anything cuter comes along since I think I rushed when I got Nina, ordering when she came out.
