Summer is here, though it’s cloudy.

Real DD spam here. o/ I added some clothing pieced to Saya’s dress and it turned really casual so I wanted to take more photos of her, although I’m not 100% happy with her eyes or wig. But I like playing with her because she’s got so many different hands and her torso doesn’t get cut in half all the time. Though, I fixed Yuyu’s torso too, and it’s much more sturdy now. She just needs new clothing. But I did have her guest star in Saya’s shoot.

On a random note: I got my first doll exactly 10 years ago today. :D

Yuyu changes her hair?

Posting some backlogged Yuyu snapshots. I’m still trying to get along with her, so I’ve been doing wig and eye tests on her. Something about her is not quite working for me, so I’m trying to find what it is.
The first thing I should do is order some wigs but damnit, I can never afford that. I have an expensive figure I have to pay at the end of the month (the figure that actually tipped me over into the figure world, damn him!!) so I really can’t make a wig order unless I get stuff sold. Sighh. My doll funds are at a zero and I’m actually thinking of selling my Big Dipper that arrived a while ago because I just can’t seem to get to painting it. =__=

2 anime girls now

My first DD head now has a body. If you remember my first DD post with the table-flip story of how I hunted Yuyuka down, you might be happy to hear that I didn’t go through as much trouble with this body. Volks finally properly re-stocked all the bodies and most busts last month. I couldn’t afford one right away, but then I sold Fenrir’s body and went for Saya’s (I changed her name from Satsuki to Sayaka). I noticed that the semi-white DDdy bodies were running low on stock, so I got her one of those and a DDIII shapely L bust.

I know I was supposed to get a DDIII with an L bust, and I still want one, but the 07 head is huge and I really like how curvy the DDdy is, so I got that one instead. I still don’t like chest joints becauce they’re stiff, but oh well. With DD’s the joints are in the same place as in the other models (cause the inner frame is the same), but the higher hip piece does make it a lot more stiff. But she’s so curvy I forgive her. :P I always thought I would never get a DDdy because I don’t like the boobs like at all, but then I realized I could get a DDIII bust and just cut is shorter and then the curves really started tempting me. The fit is actually better than with the original bust IMO. It had huge gaps but this one doesn’t have any. I still want a DD with the DDIII body but I don’t know which one yet. I’d like a 05 head, but more than that I’d want one of the limiteds I’ve been pining after. We’ll see.

Oh, and I also have a 06 head, but I’m not yet sure what I’ll do with her. She can borrow Saya’s body for now, because I’m not sure if she’ll ever get one of her own. I still need more hands for my girls, too… when I can afford them.


This is the photo that made me decide that I needed to get her a body of her own (she’s on Yuyu’s NS body here). I updated her face up, put the Volks eyes back in her and tried this old wig on her and magic, I loved her. Although I’d previously been a bit mehh about her. Still, I might want to re-do the face once again at some point.

Sales and stuff

I’m selling some of my older dolls (and newer) that I don’t do much with anymore or that don’t really work for me. I have a fixed sales page in this blog (^ the link is up there ^) in case someone hasn’t noticed. I just sold the new body I got for Fenrir, because his head just doesn’t do it for me anymore. I still need to take good photos of the head and sell it as well, but I’m not sure if anyone will want him. He’s such an old and unknown mold.

But what makes me really sad is his sister, Hati. I’ve finally decided to let her go. I’ve been holding on to her because of how gorgeous her body is and how well it poses, but her huge head and thin neck has been bothering me for so long. The aesthetic just doesn’t work for me anymore, although she is absolutely gorgeous. I just hope someone will give her a good home.

Jump!

Quick stand tests. Also a few older portraits. I’m waiting for new eyes for Yuyu that should FINALLY be up to my quality standards (I hope the fit is good as well). They’re a slightly wrong colour, but the seller didn’t have the right kind of purple, so I’ll have to live with them. But anything to be rid of these sucky WDS eyes. They’re so damn dull. =__= And then I’ll need to hunt down some nice eyes for Satsuki as well. Ugh.

Battle landings

I received some stands and took Somnion out for some wing photos right away. Well, tested them with Yuyu first, but I’ll do a separate post for her later.

The poses are kind of repetitive, but I was again just trying to get one shot. Until I got really into it and started testing things out. Nion was constantly surrounded by mosquitoes though and I had to photoshop a ton of them out. >_> Very annoying.

Sunlit Gardens

Yayy! I was finally able to get kimono!Lin photos in the apple tree garden that’s located near where mizya lives. She’s had him for years for this purpose but we always missed the flowers for some reason. She’ll post her own photos of this shoot to her blog. :3
This year the weather was really crappy and they’d protected the trunks with plastic and wire-netting, making them really ugly. But like hell we’d give up. The weather was sunny and cloudy every few minutes, the wind was infernal (we almost fell off the bridge while crossing the lake because it came in such huge gusts) and there were kids playing ball in the parts where the wire-nettings had been removed. Well, we went further away and removed the wire and the protective plastics ourselves from the trees we were shooting at and then put them back when we were done. Those protectors weren’t there last year, so that was really annoying, though.

Anyway, I managed to get some nice Lin photos (the last one is my favourite), although the wind tried to knock him over and make him push the parasol against his head, shoulder or neck all the time. It wasn’t easy. xD
